HIRING BEAUTIFUL HOME HANDYMAN FOR ANY/ALL WORK ACKNOWLEDGES YOUR RECEIPT & ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
Estimates by Beautiful Home Handyman ("BHH") are valid for 30-days from issue date. Estimates and/or scheduled job contracts are provided in good faith to the party/parties (“Owner” or “Client”) who is SOLELY responsible for payment — irrespective of being the resident or homeowner of record of the site/premises at which work is performed. Amount subject to change by BHH due to unforeseen/unpredictable circumstances. Final amount may be higher or lower. Every attempt will be made to minimize costs without sacrificing quality or safety.
PAYMENT (Cash, Venmo, Local Check): Note: Deviation from these payment terms may affect subsequent payment terms for future work (if any — at the sole discretion of BHH).
- A) 50% Labor & (roughly) 100% Supplies identified in estimate due first day — Start of Work (SOW)
- B) Balance (Labor & additional Supplies, if any) DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS UPON INTERIM &/or FINAL INVOICE
- C) Timely payment for my professional services is required. I am a sole proprietor with significant overhead & business expenses. BHH DOES NOT OFFER EXTENDED TERMS WITHOUT PRIOR, MUTUALLY-AGREED UPON ARRANGEMENTS. Unless you have contacted BHH disputing charges, a late fee of 15% or $45 (compounded and added to original invoice) will accrue after 7 (seven) days, and every 7 days thereafter. Your prompt payment is expected and appreciated. (And Zoë – my four-legged business partner/assistant – will love you even more!)
- Change Orders for Addenda resulting in an increase in final cost to project(s) will be treated separately as new work (quoted separately or added to active job list) subject to the terms herein and A, B & C above
- Returned (NSF) checks incur $35.00 charge
SUPPLIES:
- Supplies are billed at COST PLUS 27% (rounded to next whole dollar). Returns for unused or excess Supplies are credited to Client (ELECTRONIC RECEIPTS PROVIDED FOR ALL JOB-RELATED/STORE-PURCHASED ITEMS).
- *PLEASE NOTE: I pay 6% Michigan sales tax on all store purchases (whether you or I buy “stuff,” Uncle Sam always gets his cut!); so the net mark up from retail is roughly 20%.
- BHH may charge a nominal fee for local pickup/return of Supplies/equipment required for job completion. Minimum charge is $25/trip, billed in 15 minute increments thereafter.
- Client pays cost of all Supplies & retains/discards surplus. Excluding fasteners & job support/replacement tools/hardware (if any), BHH does not retain overages or surplus unless agreed to by Client & BHH.
SITE CONDITIONS: (CLEANUP/SAFETY/PHOTOGRAPHY)
- BHH respects lifestyle choices, however, insists upon a smoke-free environment for work performed indoors
- Worksite will be tidy at end of service call(s). BHH will minimize any clutter that may remain between service calls that span several days.
- Client acknowledges any equipment, tools, & Supplies left at worksite may cause serious injury if disturbed
- Haul away of debris or scrap is excluded unless specified in estimate. Client agree to comply with debris removal ordinances/limitations.
- Client agrees to keep others & pets a safe distance from equipment, Supplies, or tools left on site. BHH is “pet friendly,” however, pets and their safety/containment are the sole responsibility of the owner.
- Client agrees to allow BHH to use photographs of work (preserving client anonymity) for promotional use only
TIMELINESS, COMMITMENT, DISPUTES
- Warranty repairs exclude normal wear & tear or abuse/misuse of installed materials or service items.
- All work will be completed in a timely manner (weather permitting). Should BHH experience an inordinate delay, Client will be kept apprised as to expected completion.
- In certain cases, BHH will carefully move Client belongings or work in yard to perform required tasks, however Client releases BHH from responsibility for loss/damage to any/all belongings or property
- Permits, if required, are the sole responsibility of Client
- Any disputes regarding job(s) performed will be attempted to be resolved personally or, in lieu of that, by independent arbitration
- Unknown/unusual conditions (such as, but not limited to: faulty/failed existing site fixtures, buried/hidden debris or utilities, unsafe conditions, ground conditions, etc.) are the responsibility of the Client
